Our festival performers will take the stage and either do a traditional stand-up set OR create an entirely off-the-cuff stand-up set based on a never-before-seen list of suggestions from the audience. It’s stand-up. It’s improv. It’s Stand-up Meets Improv and it’s hilarious. Note: Since each show features a guest comic, we recommend this show for adults only.

THEO VON grew up in the stray animal belt of southern Louisiana. He was a child there and became an adult slowly there.
He can be seen and heard weekly on his widely popular podcasts that garner millions of listens/views a month THIS PAST WEEKEND, and KING AND THE STING.
Theo’s new comedy special REGULAR PEOPLE was filmed at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN and is now streaming on Netflix.
In the Spring of 2020 Theo completed his two-year DARK ARTS TOUR, which took him across America, Australia, and Europe, and another country. He’s currently on the road with his RETURN OF THE RAT TOUR.
If you want to know how Theo is doing, he is probably doing the best he can, which varies.

Syndication asks: What ever happened to predictability? The milkman, the paperboy, evening tv? Like a Full House, Syndication brings the charm of a 90s era sitcom to the improv stage. Because when you’re lost out there and you’re all alone, our team is waiting to carry you home.
Newt Work Comedy is a Comedy Collective from Raleigh NC. They perform their brand of Narrative Long Form called “Flash Form” where they improvise a play right on the spot! Every show is different! Stay for the insanity and the twists!
¡Punctuation.Marks! features Ali and Dash, who dated for three years, but they don’t anymore. Instead of letting this drive them apart, they channeled it and developed an improvised one-act play that explores the humorous reality of relationships.

“Looking Back, Looking Forward” is perfect for the holiday time of year. This is the season when many of us consider the events of the past year and look forward to what a new year might bring. In this writing workshop, we will use this transitional time as a focus for creating a new piece of writing which will allow us to set 2023 aside and move forward toward 2024. For writers at all levels. The workshop is led by Rick Mulkey, author of six books and director of Creative Writing at Converse University. Hosted by Truphae and Converse Low Residency MFA in Creative Writing.

A battle for your soul is being waged from an office in hell! Recommended for ages 13+. Children under age 4 are not admitted.
Don’t miss The Screwtape Letters, the provocative, faithful, and wickedly funny theatrical adaptation of C.S. Lewis’ classic novel about spiritual warfare from a demon’s point of view.
The Screwtape Letters creates a topsy-turvy, morally inverted universe, set in an eerily stylish office in hell, where God is called the “Enemy,” and the devil is referred to as “Our Father Below.” The play follows His Abysmal Sublimity, Screwtape, as he strives to ruin the life and damn the soul of an unsuspecting human on earth.
Based on the book by the creator of The Chronicles of Narnia, The Wall Street Journal called it, “One hell of a good show!” Newsweek ranked it among the best productions of the year in New York City. The New York Times found it, “Clever and satirical,” and Christianity Today said it is a “Profound experience.”
The Screwtape Letters has played to capacity audiences in major cities across the U.S., including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Atlanta, Boston, Salt Lake City, Orlando, Seattle, Dallas, and in London. Over 500,000 people have seen the production, which continues to attract a national following.
Starring Brent Harris as Screwtape (Scar in The Lion King national tour), it is directed by Fellowship for Performing Arts Founder and Artistic Director Max McLean.
