On exhibit Saturdays and Sundays from 12 – 4 p.m., Rocky Cove Railroad is a G-Scale (garden scale) model train that demonstrates the coming of trains to western North Carolina at the turn of the 20th century. The exhibit is located below the Grand Promenade. Please note, Rocky Cove Railroad will not operate in rainy or wet conditions.

IRON HORSE MOTORCYCLE LAWYERS is asking for YOUR SUPPORT at this event on Sunday, November 4th. The Teufelshunde MC’s in Anderson is hosting a ride to benefit the Richard M. Campbell Veteran Nursing Home and supply items from their Needs List.
Bikes will line up at 1:00pm and the parade formation leaves at 2:30. All bikes welcome, rain or shine.

Shakespeare’s Classic Love Story Set in Appalachia

William Shakespeare’s most famous tragedy about two young star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families. MTP’s unique production be inspired by the Hatfield-McCoy feud of the late 1800s in rural Kentucky and West Virginia. Featuring Shakespeare’s language, stage combat, live blue grass music, and Appalachian dialects, this is Romeo and Juliet like you’ve never experienced it before! The production will also be featured in the SC Theatre Association Community Theatre Festival state competition in November in Anderson.

Join us on Nov. 4th (Sunday ) at 4:00pm Speed Factory Indoor Karting in Spartanburg Presents the 160 lap Oval Mix Match Team Event sponsored by Affordable Insurance Direct LLC. 80 laps per driver and 1 practice /qualifying session per driver.
We will have $75.00 worth of gift certificates to give away and a cash pot as well. The cost of entry prior to the day of the event per person is $40.00. The day of the race it is $50.00. ($5.00 of each entry goes into the cash pot). Qualifying starts at 4:00 pm and racing starts around 6:00 pm . The timing depends on the count of entries. THIS RACE IS NOT FOR UNEXPERIENCED DRIVERS
Each team will be consisted of 2 drivers . 1st division will be 2 drivers weighing no more than 300lbs combined . 2nd division will be 2 drivers weighing no more than 450 lbs combined. 3rd division will 2 drivers weighing 450 and over combined . Drivers will be weighing in at the event prior to racing. There is limited spots per division (8 teams) available so pre-registering is recommended and encouraged!
