TreesUpstate’s Annual Turkey Day Run is changing direction and going virtual!
We encourage our entire Upstate community to run, trot, or walk this Thanksgiving to help TreesUpstate plant trees in parks, greenspaces, schools, and neighborhoods. Whether you run on a treadmill, trot around your neighborhood, or walk around the block, TreesUpstate’s virtual Turkey Day 5k is a great way to start your Thanksgiving and stay connected while we can’t be together.
Although this years race looks different than in years past, the impact remains the same. 100% of the proceeds go directly to TreesUpstate’s tree planting programs to plant trees that will provide clean air, blue skies, and cooler temperatures in their shade. We know this is a family & friend holiday tradition. Thanksgiving is the most run holiday of the year.
We hope you continue to run with us wherever you are. We’re still here. We’re still planting, promoting, and protecting trees. Will you join us?
*Not available to run, trot, or walk on Thanksgiving Day? That’s okay! You have from Thanksgiving Day to Sunday at 11:59pm EST to burn off that pumpkin pie and earn your race shirt!
A return on your $25 investment: Race shirt, awesome local coupons, and giveaways!

Partners for Active Living hosts the 16th Annual United Community Bank Turkey Day 8K, a community run/walk on Thanksgiving morning in downtown Spartanburg. Since 2005, this event has become a tradition that encourages residents and visitors to balance healthy lifestyles with holiday festivities!
In light of COVID-19, we are taking extra precautions at the event this year. All participants must pre-register online; you will not be able to register on the day of the event. There are a limited number of spots available, and once filled, online registration will end.
