It’s the holiday season, and it’s time for an M. Judson favorite! Join us for the Holiday Booksellers Recommend Books Over Drinks! Instead of an author, you’ll hear from M. Judson staff members about their favorite books of the year, and your ticket will include a hardcover copy of one of the books discussed – your choice! It is a great night to hear about books for everyone on your Christmas list, so you can knock out some of your holiday shopping. We pair the qualities of each wine with a book that shares the same spirit. Your ticket to the tasting, apart from the tastes, includes your choice of one of the featured books. Bottles of the featured wines will be for sale at great prices, too. All books featured at this event will be signed hardcover editions.

Paris has never been hotter for one wartime romance between two undercover operatives, until both their lives are at risk. In the final two years of the war in Europe, French Resistance fighter Jacques Berlangier and his determined, American OSS partner Claire Skiffington struggle to survive a series of hazardous assignments in support of Allied operations. In the war’s immediate aftermath, in love and together in Paris, they return to his family’s apple farm business in the Breton countryside. There, residual and unforeseen trouble rivals the dangers they thought were well past. Revenge, murderous alliances, and heroic efforts from unexpected sources propel the action.

Arthur McMaster worked in the American intelligence and special operations community for nearly 30 years. Much of his career was spent in Europe, working with NATO partners. Retiring from government service he returned to university to earn an MFA in creative writing and taught writing and literature courses for several years. He and his wife Sue live in Greenville, SC.

Greenville, South Carolina is quickly becoming one of the most popular cities to visit and call home. From its highly regarded restaurant scene to the beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, more and more people are finding reasons to love the Upstate.

Each week, tune in as Griffin walks and talks on Greenville’s Swamp Rabbit Trail, a 22 mile trail running through the heart of downtown and out into the surrounding areas, and asks his guests why they decided to make the Upstate their home and how the Upstate has changed their lives.

Upstate Trail Talks episodes release weekly on Wednesday and are typically between 20 and 60 minutes in length. Each guest of the show has ties to Greenville and/or the surrounding areas, so if learning more about the people of the Upstate is what you’re after, you’re in the right place!
