Ever wonder what life is really like in other parts of the world? What if you could experience it for yourself — without leaving Spartanburg?
The Compassion Experience will bring you as close to another country and culture as you can get without a passport. This interactive, immersive display allows you to step into the life of a child who has suffered under the crippling weight of poverty.
But the journey does not end there.
In the span of 20 minutes, you will travel with that child from hardship to hope. And in the midst of hope, you will see that child’s story transformed through the support of Compassion and the child’s life-giving relationship with a sponsor. Don’t miss this life-changing event brought to you by Compassion International and Sugar Land Baptist Church.
Free and appropriate for all ages. Make a reservation at this link: https://cts.compassion.com/events/1205. Walk-ins are also welcome.

Live @ The Yard!!! Soul Intent w/ Brandy Lindsey & Jamison Smith
SHOWTIMES:
Brandy Lindsey & Jamison Smith, 4-6pm
Soul Intent, 8-11pm
ABOUT SOUL INTENT:
Soul Intent is a six piece cover band formed in 2011 and are based in Spartanburg, SC. This upbeat band performs Motown and R&B classics including music from Sly and the Family Stone, Aretha Franklin, and Mother’s Finest. The band members are seasoned musicians consisting of Erika Moore, lead vocalist. Jesse Madden, drums, vocals, saxophonist. Chuck Wilson, bassist, vocals. Terry Hilliard, guitarist. Cliff Williford, keyboardist, vocals, and Melvin Cunningham, percussionist, vocals.
ABOUT BRANDY LINDSEY & JAMISON SMITH
Dan Armonaitis of Spartanburg Herald-Journal has described Brandy’s music as, “an impressive mix of folk-tinged Americana and vintage-flavored jangle pop.” When Jamison isn’t singing and playing electric guitar with her in Brandy Lindsey and the Punch, he can be found leading his own bands—M27 and Big Folk—doing anything from original folk songs to covers. He also is the founder and host of Sunday Songwriters, now it it’s 12th year. On special occasions, the two play stripped-down versions of their songs as a duo, blending harmonies and guitar work.

The mighty Fall Of An Empire returns from the dead. This will be the first show in the upstate as they come back to save music . One of Tribble’s personal favorite bands(local or national), this show will be a night to remember.
Opening the show will be Justin Clyde Williams , bringing his outlaw country attitude to Tribble’s once again. Not many people can pull off opening for metal bands with just an acoustic guitar…. Not many.. But this man can.
Thieving coyote hailing from Florence, South Carolina will be making their debut for Tribble’s for the first time. With mind blowing southern heavy hard hitting tunes these dudes will impress every time… Check them out on Facebook and YouTube.

Calling All Artists…
Here’s your chance to step out of the box and present your most creative, most interesting, most out-there art for the world to see. The first ever “Spartanburg Fringe Festival” will be June 1-29 at West Main Artists Co-op. It will be a month of unusual and unique performances, the experimental, the quirky, the not-average. Dance, theatre, music, film, comedy, spoken word, readings, solos, groups, short and long works, the undefinable. There’s even a little room for some out-of-the-ordinary visual art. This is a work in progress, so talk to us. Let us know what you want to perform or exhibit. But you must apply by April 15. All it takes is a quick email to Sandy Staggs. See details online at SpartanburgFringeFestival.com.

This is an inaugural community of practice for those who are producing cold brew coffee. This is a full day of collaboration, brainstorming and discussion around the skills and knowledge required to be a cold brew practitioner.
It is primarily for those creating cold brews already, who are interested in developing standards of proficiency for personnel. Others interested in doing cold brew are welcome, but the discussions and activities are designed with active cold brewers in mind.
