Introducing: The Black Box Series
You’ve never experienced a play on The Rock like this before! Join us for an exciting new series where the audience and artists share the stage together for an intimate and immersive theatre experience. The Black Box Series will feature contemporary works, classics, and stories and playwrights from around the globe. Be among the first to join us on this new and exciting theatrical journey!
*Both shows contain adult language and content.
Described by Newsday as “brutally entertaining,” God of Carnage is a comedy of manners… without the manners. Don’t miss the triple-Tony-Award-winning Broadway sensation by Yasmina Reza. The New Yorker calls this laugh-out-loud hilarity “ninety minutes of sustained mayhem.” A playground altercation between eleven-year-old boys brings together two sets of Brooklyn parents for a meeting to resolve the matter. At first, diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the meeting progresses and the rum flows, tensions emerge and the gloves come off, leaving the couples with more than just their principals in tatters.
*Adult language and content.
“A streamlined anatomy of the human animal… delivers the cathartic release of watching other people’s marriages go boom. This play is itself a satisfyingly primitive entertainment.” –The New York Times

Every September, Alchemy’s stage turns into a full-on comedy battle royale as teams of three compete for your laughs and your votes!
Each team has 20 minutes to win your vote with a form they’ve dreamt up just for this occasion. The winning team will interview an audience member who voted for them, and then perform a bonus 20 minute set inspired by the interview. Then it’s on to the Finals later in the month!
Whether you’re a regular to Alchemy’s shows, or watching for the first time, Three For All offers a once-in-a-year chance to see the many faces and styles of improv—back to back to back!

To celebrate 11 years, Alchemy is creating a Chain Reaction! Each cast member selected then chose the next player. 1 by 1 until 11!
Since September 2011 the Alchemy Comedy Theater has brought weekly live improv shows to downtown Greenville, SC. To celebrate our birthday we are putting on a “Chain Reaction” show. Not only will the show be improvised, so is the cast!
One Alchemy cast member was chosen each night to get the chain started. They then reached out to one of their favorite players. Who then reached out to one of their favorite players. The chain continued until we had 11 players to celebrate 11 years.
There will be two chances (Friday and Saturday at 9pm) to see this show with two completely different, completely random casts! Get your tickets now and celebrate along with us!
***And just in case 11 years of comedy isn’t enough to celebrate, by our estimation this also going to be our 3,000th Alchemy Comedy show!

Comedian Kathleen Madigan’s 32-year comedy career is showing no signs of slowing down. Madigan has been touring 250 nights a year on the road and has risen from performing in comedy clubs to performing in marquee theaters with sold out shows. She’s squeezed in over 40 appearances on late night talk shows and multiple comedy specials airing on Netflix, Comedy Central and HBO. She also recently joined Jerry Seinfeld on his Netflix show “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” and made the most of the pandemic by launching a podcast, “Madigan’s Pubcast,” on all streaming outlets. Recently asked if her career was planned, she said, “No, like that guy in the Joy of Painting used to say, it was a happy accident. This whole thing just started out as a reason to drink and wow, what a great drinking accident.”
