Greenville’s favorite holiday tradition returns as International Ballet and Artistic Director Vlada Kysselova present The Nutcracker. The International Ballet pre-professional Company and Academy students are joined by acclaimed principal guest artists for an enchanting production.
Enjoy Tchaikovsky’s timeless score performed by the Greenville Symphony Orchestra with the angelic voices of the Greenville Youth Chorale in the iconic snow scene. Join Clara and her Nutcracker prince as they battle mice, travel through a winter wonderland, and visit the Land of the Sweets. With glittering sets and costumes, this magical production is not to be missed.

On exhibit Saturdays and Sundays from 12 – 4 p.m., Rocky Cove Railroad is a G-Scale (garden scale) model train that demonstrates the coming of trains to western North Carolina at the turn of the 20th century. The exhibit is located below the Grand Promenade. Please note, Rocky Cove Railroad will not operate in rainy or wet conditions.

The YWCA Racial Justice Workshop is open to our entire YWCA Asheville community – including our staff, volunteers, board, donors, program participants, Fitness Center and community members. This 90-minute workshop will take place on the second Tuesday of each month at 11:30 am and will be facilitated by Gerry Leonard, Racial Justice & Outreach Specialist and Lexus Walker, Tzedek Social Justice Fellow.
NUTCRACKER! Magical Christmas Ballet is returning to the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium at Harrah’s Cherokee Center – Asheville on December 9, 2025.
Gather with your community for a FREE tasty meal, lessons on healthy eating and information on Double Up Food Bucks (a new program through SNAP)! Community Dinners are held on the second Wednesday of each month from 6 – 7:30 pm. FREE childcare provided.

The 2025 Winter Invitational – Gymnastics Competition returns to Greenville, SC from December 12–14 at the Greenville Convention Center. This signature Southeast gymnastics event brings together talented athletes from across the region for a weekend of exciting competition, camaraderie, and celebration of the sport.
Participants can expect a well-organized meet in a premier venue, supportive crowds, and the chance to showcase their hard work and skills on a big stage. Whether you’re aiming for the podium or gaining experience for the season ahead, the Winter Invitational is the perfect way to start out the season.
For 35 years in Spartanburg, the delightful story of Clara and her adventures on Christmas Eve has been a part of over 90,000 families’ holiday season. This year, we celebrate with new costumes, new choreography, and enchanting surprises, all while partnering with the brilliant music of the Spartanburg Philharmonic (for our fifth season together).
This 35th Nutcracker is dedicated to Carlos Agudelo, Artistic Director.

Join us for Empower Hour, a one-hour program and facility tour where you will experience firsthand the YWCA’s work to bridge gaps in earning power, education, health & wellness and access to childcare.
Empower Hours take place twice a month on the first and third Tuesday at 11:30 am.
Lunch is served as part of our Empower Hour, so reservations are required.
