Duke’s Hot Tomato Summer Returns to Greenville This Weekend

Duke’s Hot Tomato Summer returns for a fifth year to restaurants across the Southeast.

More than 40 Greenville eateries will serve tomato-and-mayo-themed specials now through July 27, 2025.

Organized by Duke’s Mayonnaise, which was founded in Greenville, South Carolina, in 1917, the friendly competition tasks participating chefs with creating new dishes and drinks using Duke’s mayo and tomatoes.

Classics like BLTs, Bloody Marys and fried green tomatoes go up against creative culinary twists, like Curean’s “Tomato Royale” sandwich, featuring smoked and candied heirloom tomatoes with duck lardon and chimichurri Duke’s mayo. Lewis Barbecue will offer its take on the BLT, and FireForge Crafted Beer will prepare Heirloom Tomato Sliders.

Other inventive takes include Comal 864 Midtown’s HTSummer Sammy, featuring Rabbit Crest Farms tomato jam, and Rick Erwin’s West End Grill’s Southern Caprese.

Customers can vote for their favorites at hottomatosummer.com for a chance to win prizes and even cash.
