After raising the tallest flagpole in the state in 2020, Upstate Granite Solutions will now raise one of the tallest flagpoles in the nation on September 12th between 10am and 4pm.
November 18th, 2020, was aa symbolic day for local veterans and families in the Upstate. South Carolina’s tallest flagpole was erected and dedicated to veterans at Upstate Granite Solutions. This dedication was designed to honor and remember the many heros that willingly laid down their lives for the freedoms that we enjoy today. This year, due to a maintenance issue, they were given no choice but to bring the pole down to repair the mechanism at the very top.
Since a new foundation was required and the pole needed major repair, Upstate Granite Solutions decided to erect an even taller flagpole to accommodate an ever larger flag. The new flagpole will be one of the tallest in the nation standing at 250 feet and will fly a 60 x 100 foot American flag. A celebration throughout the day will include food and beverages, patriotic music, and gifts for everyone who stops to witness this historic occasion.
