The South Carolina Native Plant Society’s Fall Native Plant Sale returns October 9-11, 2025, offering one of the largest selections of native plants in our region. This online-only sale features more than 4,000 plants across nearly 200 species — from shade-loving woodland species to sun-loving meadow plants.
All plants must be ordered online and picked up at the Upstate Native Nursery located at 180 Lakewood Drive in Greenville.
We don’t know of any other public sale of this size and quality in our area. A key distinction of our inventory is that all plants are true natives from our region — not cultivars. Whether you’re planning a rain garden, creating pollinator habitat, or simply adding low-maintenance beauty, SCNPS volunteers will help guide your choices and will be on hand at pickup for loading and advice.
The sale also leads into South Carolina Native Plant Week (October 12–18, 2025), a statewide celebration of the importance of native plants — a perfect time to add new species to your landscape.

Conservation-minded residents will appreciate that supporting this sale directly benefits the South Carolina Native Plant Society’s mission to protect and preserve our state’s botanical heritage. Every purchase helps fund educational programs, conservation initiatives, and habitat restoration projects throughout the Upstate. As development continues to impact natural areas, creating native plant gardens becomes an increasingly important way for individuals to provide crucial habitat corridors for wildlife and preserve genetic diversity of local plant populations. Your garden can become part of a larger network of native landscapes that support biodiversity across our region.

Pickup instructions and time slots will be included in your confirmation email. Do not come until you’ve received notification your order is ready.
Orders must be picked up by 6:00 pm the day after your order is ready, and all final pickups must be completed by October 11 at 6:00 pm. The sale goes on rain or shine, and you are expected to pick up your order in the time slot specified in your email confirmation regardless of the weather. ALL SALES ARE FINAL — no exchanges or refunds.
