Whitney Hanson’s TikTok bio reads “poetry isn’t a dead language,” speaking to the revitalizing force of Gen Z on this ancient art form. Whitney’s first collection Home, which explores first heartbreak, was a huge hit—it skyrocketed to the Amazon Top 10 and was republished as an expanded edition by Penguin Life earlier this year. Her poetry is powerful, concise, and wise beyond her 22 years.

“The story in these poems was more challenging to tell than any other I have explored,” Whitney writes in the introduction to her new collection HARMONY. In these intimate pages, she explores the cadences of love, loss, grief, and healing through the lens of music.

Whitney Hanson  is the author of  Home and Climate. Through Whitney’s vulnerability and authenticity, she has connected with thousands of readers and adamantly believes that poetry is not a dead language; rather it is the key to unlocking true vulnerability which leads to deeper connection with one another. Whitney grew up in rural Montana and she now attends University in South Carolina.

Ellen Everett is a twenty-four year old poet, author, illustrator, and graphic designer from Tennessee with a passion for storytelling and bringing words to life. In 2018, she published her first collection of poetry, I Saw You As A Flower at the age of nineteen. On completion of her BFA in Graphic Design in 2022, she released her second collection of poetry, If Hearts Had Training Wheels—a book she designed, illustrated, and formatted from the cover to the interior.

Ellen has always been captivated by the process of taking an idea and turning it into something tangible and accessible. She finds something magical about creating something out of nothing and bringing an idea to life. She hopes her words come alive in the hearts of her readers and bring light into their lives. She continues to express herself through language, art, and videography on her social media platforms.
