Greenville Named Fifth Best Small City in Nation By Condé Nast Traveler Readers

Downtown Greenville and the home of future Unity Park.

Greenville was ranked the “No. 5 Best Small City in the United States” in the 2021 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards.

The city moved up one spot from last year, making the list for the fifth time.

“Greenville is no longer a ‘well-kept secret’ or ‘hidden gem,’” said Mayor Knox White. “Visitors from around the world have fallen in love with our walkable Main Street, bikeable trails and shoppable boutiques. Now, they’re telling their friends about us. Moving up to No. 5 on this prestigious list of travel spots will bring even greater awareness to our urban greenspace, downtown waterfall and festive food scene.”

Here is the entire top ten:

  1. Aspen, Colorado
  2. Charleston, South Carolina
  3. Alexandria, Virginia
  4. Santa Fe, New Mexico
