Greenville, South Carolina reaches new heights in October as Halloween descends upon the area. The city is home to many Halloween celebrations, terror trails, haunted houses, and trick-or-treating events.

Haunted Houses

Nightmare Dungeon (Greenville, SC)

Nightmare Dungeon Haunted House is one of the most terrifying haunted houses in the Upstate and it’s now open nightly through Nov. 5, 2023 (even if it’s raining). Nightmare Dungeon Haunted House is equated with being inside a live horror film. Each of the haunted attractions is filled with high tech special effects, realistic sets, and professional actors. Nightmare Dungeon Haunted House will bring your nightmares and fears to life. Admission is $30 per adult and $20 per child under ten.

Terror Trails and Not-so-scary Trails

The Big Boo is a family-friendly spooky maze which is open October 13-14, 20-21, and 27-28, 2023. Tickets are $12 per person. Although family friendly, the experience is not recommended for children under 6.

Family Friendly Trick-or-treating

Boo at the Zoo is back for 2023! Greenville Zoo’s annual family-friendly Halloween event for children ages 12 and under. It takes place October 18-22 – October 25-30, and features trick-or-treating, fun-filled booths, extinct species graveyard, princess castle with characters and an un-haunted house. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and everyone is invited to come in costume.

Trick-or-Treat at The Children’s Museum of the Upstate in Greenville will return on Saturday, October 28, 2023! Travel through the museum and collect candy from Greenville organizations and community partners. After trick-or-treating on each floor of the museum, head outside to enjoy food from a variety of local food trucks or play on Bib’s World!

Autumn Harvest at TD Market takes place on Saturday, October 28, 2023, and will offer an assortment of seasonal produce and trick-or-treating opportunities from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. A children’s costume contest will take place at 10:30 am. It’s a great way to spend an afternoon!

Treat-or-Treat on Main Street will return this year on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 10 am to 3 pm! More than 30 merchants will offer candy or sweet treats for trick-or-treaters! Participating merchants will offer sweet treats in a fun and safe environment for trick-or-treaters.
