Greenville, South Carolina reaches new heights in October as Halloween descends upon the area. The city is home to many Halloween celebrations, terror trails, haunted houses, and trick-or-treating events.

Haunted Houses

Nightmare Dungeon Haunted House is one of the most terrifying haunted houses in the Upstate and it’s now open nightly through Nov. 3, 2019 (even if it’s raining!). Nightmare Dungeon Haunted House is equated with being inside a live horror film. Each of the haunted attractions is filled with high tech special effects, realistic sets, and professional actors. Nightmare Dungeon Haunted House will bring your nightmares and fears to life. Admission is $30 per adult and $20 for children 10 and under.

Test your appetite for horror and fear at one of the Upstate’s leading haunted attractions. One admission price includes four haunted events, the ten-acre corn maze, and the barnyard activities! So much fun. So much fright. Can you handle it all? We invite you to try. Not recommended for weak hearts. And for those who want a non-scary, fun experience, the corn maze is the perfect option and is completely separate from the Harvest of Horror. One of the upstate’s favorite fall festivals, Enchanted Forest, is set for October 24-26, 2019, at the Pavilion Recreation Complex located at 400 Scottswood Road in Taylors. Enchanted Forest provides children 12 and under a unique fairytale trick-or-treat experience with an array of storybook characters from Sleeping Beauty to Snow White and destinations like Robin Hood’s Hideaway, Shrek’s Swamp, and the magical, mythical, maze. There will also be carnival games, bounce houses, face painting, balloon animals, treats, and a costume contest each night. Admission is $9.00 per child on the day of the event or $7.00 in advance; parents get in free.

The Big Boo is a family-friendly spooky maze which runs Friday and Saturday nights through October 28. Tickets are $10 per person, and children under six years old receive free admission. Wagon rides, offered during the daytime as well as the spookier nighttime, loop the farm with fun scarecrow scenes, pumpkins, and a great time. Nighttime rides are lit. Tickets are $4 per person during the day and $6 per person at night; there’s no charge for lap babies.

Family Friendly Trick-or-treating

Boo at the Zoo is Greenville Zoo’s annual family-friendly Halloween event for children ages 12 and under. It takes place October 18-20 and October 25-27 and features trick-or-treating, fun-filled booths, extinct species graveyard, princess castle with characters and an un-haunted house. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and everyone is invited to come in costume.

Halloween Hoopla 2019 in Greer City Park takes place on Saturday, October 26, 2019, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Bring your best Halloween costume and enjoy games, inflatables, live music, tons of candy, and much more!

Boo!seum at The Children’s Museum of the Upstate in Greenville will return this year on Saturday, October 26! Grown-ups and children can attend in costumes and explore science, art, and more through our Halloween-themed activities. From spooky experiments and ghostly art projects to eerie inventions and mysterious stories, you won’t want to miss this event!

Autumn Harvest at TD Market on Saturday, October 26, 2019, will offer an assortment of seasonal produce and trick-or-treating opportunities from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. It’s a great way to spend an afternoon!
