Terpsicorps Theatre of Dance celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2018 with the world premiere of Zelda’s Dance at the Diana Wortham Theatre, Thursday-Saturday, June 21-23, 2018 at 7:30pm. Artistic director Heather Maloy’s latest work tells the story of F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald’s tragic relationship from their passionate courtship in Alabama, through their stardom at the height of Scott’s literary career, into their never-ending power struggle and eventual decline caused by alcoholism, selfishness and mental illness. Zelda’s Dance will feature the technical prowess of Terpsicorps’ critically acclaimed dancers alongside live music by local pianist Andrew Fletcher and the Firecracker Jazz Band. Also included on the program are works that highlight some of the finest moments of the past 15 seasons including Salvatore Aiello’s Afternoon of a Faun and Heather Maloy’s soulful homage to New Orleans Second Line and the athletic tour de force Le Suil Go.
