THE MY MOMMA’S KITCHEN EXHIBIT OPENING DATE HAS BEEN CHANGED TO FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12 DUE TO EXPECTED WEATHER CONDITIONS. What memories from your momma’s kitchen bring back the warm memories of family and togetherness? Inspired by “All Over but the Shoutin’ ‘ and “The Best Cook in the World – Tales from My Momma’s Table,” written by Pulitzer Prize winning author Rick Bragg, this exhibit celebrates the evolution of the kitchen and those who lovingly prepared food in the home throughout the years. Items on display will include a 1937 refrigerator, 1935 stove, GE Monitor top, GE wringer washing machine, vintage cookware, cookbooks, recipes, and much more. MY MOMMA’S KITCHEN, a Greenwood Reads exhibit, will open Friday, October 12 at The Museum in Greenwood, with a reception from 5:30-7:00. We invite you to come sample someof our mommas’ favorite recipes at the exhibit opening! The Museum is located at 106 Main Street in Greenwood. Admission is free.
