We are throwing a party at Mellow Mushroom this Tuesday, March 12, and we’ve invited all of our funky fungi friends! We’ll be featuring 3 hyper-local award-winning ales from Carolina Bauernhaus Brewery & Winery including the recent PSYCHE WARD Mushroom Porter collaboration with Mushroom Mountain & Good Word Brewing & Public House!
We’ll have a special deal going to score a slice of glorious shroomie pie along with any of the Bauernhaus #rusticrefined ales and we have some heady brewery and mushroom stickers and swag to give away during the event from 6-9pm at the Downtown Anderson Mellow Mushroom location. The geeky big brained Carolina Bauernhaus & Mushroom Mountain founders ( who met while working in a biofuels lab at Clemson!) will be in the house to chat about all things funky and fungal while sipping these suds:
F.R.I.P.A. – 6.7% abv Farmhouse Rye IPA, 2019 Gold Medal for Rye IPA at All About Beer Magazine Craft Beer Wars, brewed with 100% Carolina-grown Barley and Rye, with Citra and Chinook hops
Whiskey Sour – 4.5% abv Gose-inspired sour ale, 2018 Gold Medal for Gose at U.s. Open Beer Championship. Sour ale fermented in regional whiskey barrels with fresh lemons and limes
PSYCHE WARD – 5.7% abv Mushroom Porter brewed with 20 lbs of roasted Lions Mane mushrooms, hericium americanus, in collaboration with Carolina Bauernhaus, Mushroom Mountain and Good Word Brewing
