As members of the military were captured or became missing during the Vietnam War, a small group of their wives became their champions. In this book, the authors tell of these women’s political and media maneuvering to make the POW/MIA issue a national concern. Their activities took them onto an international stage and into meetings with world leaders, long before social media, and their efforts created a landmark legacy. Accompanying them will be Candy Parrish Ellis, a POW/MIA wife, who is featured in the book and who was on the cover of the December 15, 1970 issue of Look Magazine.
