Panelists Alex Moore, Senior Director of Brand Experience for The United Way of the Piedmont, Mark Nelson, and Lanie Whitaker, President of Arrowhead Design Company, will share their experience on brand-building, why it’s important, tips on how to get started and how they’ve used successful branding to grow their business.
About Our Panelists
Alex Moore is the Senior Director of Brand Experience for United Way of the Piedmont, overseeing the day to day and long term strategic marketing of the organization. She develops innovative ways to communicate the important work of nonprofits to the Upstate community. Alex is also a small business consultant, helping local micro-businesses and entrepreneurs grow their passions through marketing. Alex has been in the nonprofit sector for most of her career and has also worked in business development for a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), in addition to helping establish a Community Development Credit Union. Alex is a graduate of Wofford College and originally from Knoxville, Tennessee.
Lanie Whitaker is the Founder and President of Arrowhead Design Company, a local marketing agency in Spartanburg, SC. Arrowhead was created in May of 2016 with the goal to help bring affordable web and graphic design services to local businesses everywhere. Today, Arrowhead has worked with hundreds of local businesses to improve their branding and communicate with their audience in a new way! Lanie is a graduate of USC Upstate and has lived in the upstate her entire life. Lanie is the Communications Chair on the Spartanburg Young Professionals board and is also on the board of the Spartanburg Soup Kitchen, and the SCC Digital design board. Lanie’s company is also the proud winner of OneSpartanburg Inc.’s Small Business of the Year in 2020!
