Two-time Grammy nominee Kim Richey returns to the Genevieve’s stage!
Inspired by Joni Mitchell, the Ohio-native used music to communicate all the things she felt too shy to say. Today, she is considered a fixture of the Nashville songwriter scene. Her powerful lyrics are behind Trisha Yearwood’s “Believe Me Baby (I Lied),” Radney Foster’s “Nobody Wins,” and Brooks & Dunn’s “Every River.”
As a singer, Richey signed her first record deal at the musical home of Billy Ray Cyrus and Shania Twain. Since then, she has released nine critically acclaimed albums, including her most recent, Long Way Back…Songs of Glimmer, celebrating the 20th anniversary of Glimmer, which she calls her first collection of true confessionals. Known for her harmony vocals, she has also appeared on records by artists like Jason Isbell, Ryan Adams, and Reba McEntire.
Over two decades in the industry and two Grammy-nominated songs later, Richey is beloved by singers and songwriters alike.
