Magician Kenrick Ice McDonald will be performing a FREE and family friendly magic show to
be filmed for the documentary film Going Fine Since 1889: The Magical Armstrongs.
The Celebrated Armstrong’s were a family of African American magicians who performed
throughout the South during the Jim Crow era and lived in Spartanburg.
The Armstrong Brothers, an early version of the act, performed at the historic John Wesley
United Methodist Church in 1903.
Ice McDonald has performed all over the world and been featured on television shows,
Masters of Illusion, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and The Tonight Show. In 2014 he
became the first African American ever inaugurated as National President of the Society of
American Magicians’ (S.A.M.)
