Join the park staff and volunteers as they gaze up at the night sky to watch the display of the Geminid Meteor Shower at the Star Fort Pond on Kinard Road off Hwy 246. Bring a lawn chair and a blanket to sit back and enjoy the show.
Join a ranger to learn about the December constellations. View moon nearly full moon through a 14 inch telescope. Make sure to dress warmly. Flashlight are allowed, but we suggest putting a red filter or red plastic wrap over it. This will allow you to get and keep your night vision.
Parking for the program is available at the Star Fort Pond Entrance off Kinard Road off Highway 246.
