ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Carol Hart Metzker, M.S, is a human trafficking/modern-day slavery
abolitionist, survivor advocate, Tedx Speaker, educator, author of
Facing the Monster: How One Person Can Fight Child Slavery
and Consultant for the Salvation Army’s New Day to Stop Trafficking
Program. She has led projects for former-slave/human trafficking
victim-survivor residential and rehabilitation centers in the U.S
(Dawn’s Place, Salvation Army’s New Day to Stop Trafficking Drop-in Center and New Day New Home, Covenant House), India (Bal Vikas Ashram, Punarnawa Ashram, Rotary School4Freedom), and Nepal (Asha Nepal/Shakti Samuha). Carol was the 2009-2010 recipient of Rotary International’s highest award for an individual’s humanitarian service, the Service Above Self award
