Sonia Norris is a self taught artist living in Asheville, NC. A long time collector of buttons, driftwood, fabric scraps, rusty metal, and all things she sees new purpose in. She takes great pleasure in making old, new, with stitches dyes and prints, often times in incorporating found objects into her art. She weaves media together to create unique textile pieces. She is a self taught printmaker focusing on linoleum cut blocks and has been enjoying combining printmaking and textiles.

Courtney Chappell is a visual artist living in Asheville, NC. She creates paintings, drawings, installations and videos that explore individuals’ relationships with large-scale, global events. After becoming a mother, she became interested in her maternal family member’s relationship with sewing, mending and embroidery.

Courtney attended Florida State University and University of North Carolina Asheville and holds a MFA from Western Carolina University.

Lauren Whitley is interested in the moments of dissociation that create memory. Peripheral information found between elements is the content. Her work mainly comes from dreams, memories, and writing. The writings are visual sketches of places that she thematically finds herself, a particular symbolic code made from the combination of emotion/intuition and a place.
