Mental Health America of Greenville County. is a non-profit 501C3 organization that has been serving our community since 1955. We work to positively impact mental health through advocacy, awareness, and service in our community. We are best known for our 24-hour hotlines including CRISISline, TEENline, and the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, on which we receive more than 18,000 calls a year from individuals looking for active listening, information on community resources, and crisis intervention.
The demand for our services increases every year—far exceeding our current supports meaning that we unfortunately miss thousands of calls. As a non-profit receiving no state or local government funds for these crisis hotlines, we depend on fundraisers and private funds in order to serve the community.
