Join the South Carolina Wildlife Federation for an outing to one of the iconic ACE Basin destinations, Jehossee Island, part of the Ernest F. Hollings ACE Basin National Wildlife Refuge.
Trip will include introduction by Refuge Manager, Mark Purcell, sharing the amazing history of the approximately 12,000 acre refuge property. The group will then board small boats for a trip to Jehossee Island. This Island was owned at one time by then governor of South Carolina, William Aiken, and was the largest rice producing plantation in South Carolina.
Access to this property is very limited; this will be unique opportunity to see the beauty and hear the history of this beautiful ACE Basin jewel.
