Like wine? You’ll love our Unwine series! Join us for our next wine-tasting – this one’s the Spanish edition – on Thursday, September 13, from 5:30-8:30pm. Led by Sierra from Breakthru Beverage Group and Shelly from RNDC, we’ll pop the cork on five fabulous labels from Spain. Cost is $12/person; featured bottles will be available for purchase.
Tasting Notes:
Anciano, Temranillo Gran Reserva (RED): aged 10 years, with an intense dark red shading to brick red at the rim. Black cherry fruit, spicy notes of leather and musk, tobacco and vanilla oak. Medium to full bodied with some finesse.
Can Blau 2014 (RED): fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged for a year in French oak barrels. Opaque ruby. Ripe black and blue fruit scents carry smoky mineral and licorice nuances and a subtle touch of violet.
Faustino VII (ROSE): Fresh hints of strawberry, watermelon rind with raspberry. Cherry blossom color with a lilac rim.

Marques de Caceres (WHITE): Bright, greenish straw color. The nose reveals its floral, mineral character with notes of citrus. The verdejo grape comes through with intense, clean, racy flavors of green apples and lemon peel.
Fillaboa (WHITE): From a variety of albarino grapes, a naturally thick grape known for its rich variety of aromas . Clear and bright coloring. Apple and citrus fruits with notes of mango.
