Gottaswing Charlotte is proud to partner with a new dance organization in town, Charlotte Traditional Blues, a group focused on teaching historical idiom-based blues dancing. Not familiar with blues dancing? In short, it is a family of dances done to blues music in the early- and mid- 20th century. You can think of it as an analogy – blues dancing is to blues music what swing dancing is to swing music. Here’s how the night will go:

7:30 pm Introduction to Swing Dancing Lesson begins
8:30 pm Social swing dancing with Gottaswing Charlotte DJs
11:00 pm Introduction to Blues Dancing Lesson begins
11:30~ pm Social Blues Dancing begins with Charlotte Traditional Blues DJs
