Women have historically been few and far between in positions producing music, conducting orchestras or engineering audio. But recently, this paradigm has begun to shift. In this panel discussion, attendees will examine this sea change with music industry trailblazers including recording engineer Susan Rogers, musician Rissi Palmer, conductor Melisse Brunet, and musician and scientist Sally Sparks.

A follow-up performance to the early evening panel discussion, Women Get the Job Done, Women Who Move the Needle features an all-women powerhouse concert that pays tribute to the pioneering women of music history. The performance will bring together a supergroup of favorite local artists for a setlist including favorites from female innovators like Aretha Franklin, Joan Baez, Annie Lennox ,Nina Simone and a whole lot more.
