2018 13th Annual
GINGERBREAD HOUSE CONTEST RULES
1.) Contest is open to all ages.
2.) All entries must be delivered to the Lil’ Rebel Family Restaurant between November 23rd, 2018 and November 27, 2018. Entries must remain on display at the restaurant until December 26, 2018 and be picked up no later than the close of business on January 2, 2019 or will become the property of the Lil’ Rebel Family Restaurant .
3.) The entry must be delivered in completed form attached to a sturdy base (preferably plywood) enabling it to be freestanding and sturdy enough to facilitate carrying and moving the entry. Bases will be no bigger than 15” L x 12” W.
4.) Since the exhibit continues for several weeks, all structure compositions should be durable and secure. The Lil’ Rebel Family Restaurant staff cannot provide repairs. Every effort will be made to prevent damage to the entry while on display however, if any damage should occur, the Lil’ Rebel Family Restaurant cannot be held responsible.
5.) Entries will be judged on (in no particular order): originality, creativity, overall appearance, choice and use of materials and difficulty of design.
6.) Everything visible on the entry must be edible (roof materials, windows, chimney, etc.), for example, foil or plastic wrapped candies must be unwrapped; contestants may not use lollipops with plastic stems, etc.
7.) Entries must not have been submitted in other contests or won previous awards.
8.) Feel free to use a pre-made kit as a starting point however, remember when being judged on difficulty of design, this could become a factor.
9.) Winners to be announced on November 28, 2018 and will be notified by telephone.
