The Warehouse Theatre Presents Sweat

Filled with warm humor and tremendous heart, the Pulitzer Prize-winning Sweat tells the story of a group of friends who have spent their lives sharing drinks, secrets, and laughs while working together on the factory floor.

But when layoffs and picket lines begin to chip away at their trust, the friends find themselves pitted against each other in a heart-wrenching fight to stay afloat. Sweat speaks both to Greenville’s past history as the Textile Capital of the World as well as our current position as a manufacturing leader. This play will engage our community on multiple levels.

It is a stunning play about the collision of race, class, family, friendship, and the tragic, unintended costs of community without opportunity. Performances continue through October 28 and tickets begin at $35 per person. Visit the ticketing website to order your tickets online.

Performances feature Anne Tromsness (Christmas on the Rocks, August: Osage County), Brittani H. Minnieweather (Warehouse debut), Jayce Tromsness (Much Ado About Nothing, Eurydice), Maegan Azar (Angels in America, The Merchant of Venice), Brian Reeder (Upstate Shakespeare Festival), Adrian Baynard (Warehouse debut), Bryan Montemayor (Warehouse debut), Sean Michael Hackle (The Whipping Man, A Streetcar Named Desire), and Darelle D.
