On Thanksgiving Day in downtown Spartanburg, over 1,800 runners will start the 14th Annual Turkey Day 8K. As the first free Thanksgiving morning run in the Upstate, the Turkey Day 8K has grown tremendously since 2005 and become a Thanksgiving tradition among many residents and visitors.

The rain or shine event begins and ends at the corner of Main and Spring Street. The registration fee requires the donation of one or more healthy canned goods.

Registration begins at 7:00 am at the statue and the run will begin at 7:30 am. Custom Turkey Day socks will be given to the first 75 women and 75 men to finish. A limited number of long sleeve event t-shirts are available for $20 each. Whether running or not, join us for brunch ($20) and cheer on your fellow community members as they cross the finish line!

Partners for Active Living (PAL) hosts this annual event free of charge to the community but graciously accepts donations so we can continue to work to make Spartanburg a healthier, more active place to live and grow.

This is a family friendly event, all walking and running levels welcome!!
