The Palmetto Youth Orchestra is a modern symphony orchestra, representing most secondary schools throughout the area. PYO is affiliated with Converse College through the Alia Lawson Pre-College Program. Under the guidance of professionals, PYO musicians will culivate an appreciation for the beauty and excitement of the world’s greatest music.
The orchestra’s approximately 100 members represent many of the high schools in the district, as we as other public and private schools from across South Carolina’s Upstate.
