ScanSource, Inc. has put out a call for entries in search of resellers� business-building hardware and software solutions that meet the business challenges of customers in specific areas, such as healthcare, retail or education. One reseller in each of ten verticals will win $1,000. In conjunction with its Solution City effort, the company�s corporate-wide initiative designed to educate resellers on vertical market sales strategies, this contest is one more way for ScanSource to provide resellers with information on vertical and technology solutions available to meet their end-users� needs. Any ScanSource, Catalyst Telecom or Paracon reseller is eligible for the contest. All entries must contain hardware manufactured by the three companies� best-of-breed manufacturers. Resellers can enter more than one solution. �We�re excited to give our reseller partners the opportunity to share their original solutions with us,� said Bobby McLain, vice president of marketing for ScanSource, Inc. �Through this contest we are opening the doors for our resellers to enter any technology solutions that can meet the ever-changing vertical market needs of end-users. This contest will also serve as a business-building opportunity for resellers, as they can develop strong third-party relationships with other resellers who may have more � or not as much �expertise in a particular vertical or technology and are looking to develop partnerships with other resellers.� Third-party judges will choose the winners and will select one winner per vertical. The verticals included in the solution search are retail, hospitality, government, education, financial services, distribution, manufacturing, food, field mobile and healthcare. Winning solution providers and their solutions will be showcased on ScanSource�s Solution City web portal and will be featured in press releases sent to key vertical trade magazines. Solutions will also be spotlighted on the ScanSource, Catalyst Telecom and Paracon web sites and will appear in ESP Magazine, a leading source of industry information for the specialty technology marketplace.
