South Atlantic Environmental Drilling & Construction Co. Locating in Lancaster County; 40 New Jobs

South Atlantic Environmental Drilling and Construction Co. Inc. (SAEDACCO) announced that it will relocate to South Carolina. The environmental remediation company will establish a manufacturing operation in a new 20,000 square-foot facility in the Lancaster 521 Industrial Park, located in the Indian Land community of Lancaster County.

In South Carolina, the company plans to invest $1 million and create 40 jobs over a five-year period. These new positions will be well paid in terms of manufacturing wage rates, with an average hourly pay of $14.

SAEDACCO, founded in 1993 and currently doing business in Charlotte, NC, is a southeast regional environmental services company that provides drilling and construction for the environmental industry. The company has expanded its range of services to now include drilling, storage tank removal, soil excavation, soil and groundwater remediation system fabrication and installation, and system operation and maintenance. SAEDACCO is structured to provide turnkey construction service from the initial site investigation through the remediation phase.

Why did the company choose to cross state lines and make its new home in South Carolina? SAEDACCO President Pete Byer explained, The affordability of property is much more attractive than in our current location of Mecklenburg County, NC. South Carolinas strong incentive program to assist the fabrication and assembly sides of our business was also a big driving factor. SAEDACCOs new location in close proximity to the SC/NC state line will enable the company to take prime advantage of an outstanding network of highways and large employee pool, while also benefiting from significant costs savings in the Palmetto State.

Growing companies like SAEDACCO are important to any local economy and were extremely pleased that this innovator made the decision to locate in Lancaster County, President of the Lancaster County Economic Development Corporation Ray Gardner commented. The companys new facility will enable it to expand operations in the coming months and years and increase its work force. Lancaster County is a great place to do business and we welcome this great company to our growing family of business and industry.

Bob Faith, Secretary of Commerce said, I understand that by using the latest technology, SAEDACCO has raised the bar on its manufacturing processes. Welcome to the Palmetto State we certainly wish you many years of success.

The secret is out about Lancaster County, added Rudy Carter, chairman of the Lancaster County Council. Our efforts to become more business- and industry-friendly are paying off and we are very happy to welcome SAEDACCO to the Indian Land area. We are committed to assisting SAEDACCO in any way possible to help company leaders grow their business, hire new employees, and become ever more successful in the future. Companies like SAEDACCO are an important part of the future of Lancaster County.
