The South Carolina Department of Commerce announced that Lift Technologies, Inc. will expand its operations in Westminster, South Carolina. The company will invest approximately $5 million dollars and hire 50 new positions as a result of the expansion at its second facility. Lift, LLC purchased Oconee County�s spec building in 2007 and will be expanding this facility for Lift Technologies, Inc. The construction will double the size of the facility to 80,000 sq ft.

Lift Technologies, Inc. is a global leader in the design and manufacturing of masts, carriages, integral side shifters, and fork positioners for the mobile materials handling market. The company�s market reach includes industrial truck, rough terrain, construction, and agricultural equipment applications. The company currently has manufacturing locations in Guelph, Ontario, Canada; Westminster, South Carolina, USA; and Piacenza, Italy. These are specialized production facilities that offer high volume line flow production as well as dedicated flexible cell work centers for lower volume, custom requirements.
