The Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the newly selected members of Leadership Greenville Class 34, sponsored by FGP International.
Class 34 is the most diverse class in the history of Leadership Greenville. As Greenville becomes more diverse, it is critical that the Chamber invest in building leaders throughout the community. This class brings extraordinary talents, cultural experiences, and unique abilities to leadership, as its participants are diverse in race, ethnicity, gender, age, and occupations. As Chair of the Board of Regents for Leadership Development Programs at the Chamber, I am in awe of the potential of the participants in Leadership Greenville Class 34 to serve both as catalysts and sustainers of positive change for the quality of life in Greenville, stated Dr. Judith Prince, vice chancellor for the University of South Carolina Upstate and chair.

Each Leadership Greenville class is comprised of men and women from all areas of expertise and from a cross-section of the Greenville community. Participants are chosen based on their community involvement and personal achievements.
Leadership Greenville was created in 1973 to develop informed, committed and qualified individuals capable of providing dynamic leadership for Greenville County. Class members participate in 10 months of educational and skill-building exercises. Also during the course of the program, the class chooses a project that benefits the Greenville community.
The program begins in August with a two-day retreat. Class sessions are held one day each month, with topics including quality of life, the economy, human services, local government and education. The program concludes in May with an ending retreat and a graduation ceremony.
The Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary, non-profit organization of businesses and professionals in Greenville County and the surrounding Upstate dedicated to promoting a preeminent business community: supporting innovation, collaboration and success by all businesses, small to large; providing vision, leadership and programs necessary for a progressive and diverse economy and quality of life.
