In appreciation of its members and their year-round support, the Greenville Zoo will host its first annual Member Appreciation Night. The free, after hours event will feature live musical entertainment, free popcorn and Pepsi products (while supplies last), special zookeeper talks and enrichment activities and free child ID kits donated by New York Life. Members will also receive a 20 percent discount in the zoo gift shop. Food concessions from Chick-fil-A at Cherrydale, Frodo�s Pizza at Cherrydale Point and Sweet Memories Ice Cream will be available for purchase with 20 percent of the proceeds going back to the Greenville Zoo to help support various zoo programs, including animal enrichment and exhibit renovations.Member Appreciation Night is open to Greenville Zoo members only. Zoo guest tickets and reciprocal zoo memberships will not be accepted. Accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA), Greenville Zoo is rated one of the best tourist attractions in South Carolina, attracting over 270,000 people annually. Operated by the City of Greenville, the 14-acre facility features wildlife from around the world including giraffes, monkeys, giant tortoises and elephants. Visitors can also enjoy one of the zoo�s most popular exhibits, the Reptile Building, which is home to a variety of lizards, frogs, turtles and snakes. The Greenville Zoo is open seven days a week, except on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
