Cleveland Park is one of Greenville's greatest attractions is its system of city parks.
Originally built in 1977, the Cleveland Park trails are some of the oldest and most heavily used
trails within the City of Greenville. As part of the Citys Trails and Greenways Master Plan, the City will make much-needed improvements to the Cleveland Park trails. Planned renovations will include trail drainage, widening and resurfacing of the trails and improvements to trail crossings. Additionally, the project will include a new bypass bridge at McDaniel Avenue that will help enhance the overall trail experience in Cleveland Park. The Citys Trails and Greenways Master Plan includes the overall improvement and expansion of the trail system to help serve transportation and recreation needs and to help encourage quality, sustainable economic growth. The trails and greenways also provide residents with close-to-home and close-to-work access to bicycle and pedestrian trails that connect to the Citys most popular destinations. The goal of the City Parks and Recreation department is to ensure that Greenville's parks remain attractive and inviting for public use. The department oversees 39 city parks occupying more than 400 acres of land within the city. In managing Greenville's parks, our staff provides a variety of appealing programs and activities for our residents and visitors. For more information, please visit www.greenvillesc.gov.
