Flat Rock Playhouse announces its full holiday line-up of entertainment. In addition to the main stage production of "A Christmas Carol", the Playhouse will present a series of Holiday Music on the Rock Concerts, as well as Live from WVL Radio: "Its A Wonderful Life" performed at the Historic Henderson County Courthouse.Previously the Playhouse announced plans to present Miracle on 34th Street at the Courthouse. Producing Artistic Director, Vincent Marini offers insight behind the decision to present It's A Wonderful Life. Back in July once we made the decision to pursue two additional shows at the Courthouse, two ideas immediately floated to the top. The first was A Few Good Men playing now at the Courthouse, and the second was a co-production of a very exciting, new adaptation of Live from WVL Radio: It's A Wonderful Life in association with North Carolina Stage Company. Because of the logistics involved with a co-production, we were not able to work out the details for It's A Wonderful Life in time to get the information to the County Commissioners for approval. We decided internally to do an adaptation of Miracle on 34th Street and schedule It's A Wonderful Life for a future season. We received confirmation for A Few Good Men in August, however the approval of the holiday show was held up due to scheduling issues. While this delay was unexpected, it did allow us an opportunity to continue to talk and negotiate with North Carolina Stage Company. By the time the holiday show was approved by the Commissioners in mid-October, we had completed negotiations and are now thrilled to announce that we will be able to jointly present a truly innovative production of the timeless holiday classic. Plus, the show will include two casts of actors one cast will head off to Charlotte for an additional run and one cast will feature Scott Treadway and Neela Muoz. 2010 Holiday Shows:
