Garden Club to Hold 39th Annual Arbor Day Event

The Greenville Council of Garden Clubs will host its 39th annual Arbor Day Celebration at the Kilgore-Lewis House Gardens and Arboretum (560 N Academy Street) on Thursday, April 22, and Friday, April 23, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm each day.

Participants will include the City of Greenville, TreesUpstate, Greenville Tree Foundation, Keep Greenville Green and the SC Upstate Native Plant Society.

The celebration will feature a variety of information and activities for tree lovers of all ages, and TreesUpstate will give away 75 trees each day.

All activities will take place outdoors and masks are required. The event will be canceled in case of rain.

  • 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Workshops on tree care and the City of Greenville’s tree preservation efforts
  • 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm  Student art on display and activities for 3rd graders
