Virtual Teacher Helps Student Call 911 to Save Mother

A virtual teacher with Greenville County Schools recently received a well-deserved “thank you” for her quick action that saved the life of a student’s parent.

Tatiana Oliveira, a 4th grade virtual teacher for Blythe Academy, walked a 10-year-old student through the process of calling 911 when the girl’s mother wouldn’t wake up. As a result, the girl’s mom is alive and well and Oliveira has become the latest recipient of the GCS Miracle Workers Award.
