City of Greenville Boost Grants Help Businesses Cope With COVID-19

A recent statewide survey showed that access to financial resources is one of the top challenges for businesses looking to reopen or fully restore operations.

As a result, the City of Greenville has launched a new program to support small businesses with a one-time micro-grant to help overcome the loss of revenue and assist with recovery efforts. The grants are available for a variety of small businesses, including:

  • Restaurants and bars
  • Hotels and motels
  • Retail
  • Personal services

The city will award 250 micro-grants of $1,000. Businesses must submit an application for consideration and grants will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

The money for the micro-grants will come from funds previously approved by the City for Unity Park. Private donors to the Unity Park project can also designate up to 10% of their contributions to go toward the Small Business Boost Program. Go to UnityParkGreenville.com/donate to make a contribution to the park and email [email protected] to earmark a portion of your donation to help local businesses.

Visit the City of Greenville website for additional information and to begin the application process.
