In Business: YouthBASE

YouthBASE is an early intervention after-school and summer program. Their mission is to help children in kindergarten through second grade succeed at school, home, and in the community.

The organization seeks to build the child’s behavioral, academic, social, and emotional competencies so they may succeed at school, home, and in the community.

YouthBASE envisions a community where all children succeed. Success to them means that children have age-appropriate behavior, social and emotional, capacities and grade-level academic proficiency.

They currently have two locations: YouthBASE Downtown at 813 Hampton Ave that enrolls children who attend AJ Whittenberg and Stone Academy, and YouthBASE Judson at 103 S. Texas Ave that enrolls children who attend Welcome, Hollis, and Alexander Elementary schools.

They offer holistic wrap-around programs for children and their families including monthly Family Nights and Cafe de Madres (led in Spanish). Through individualized activities to help with gaps in learning and build social skills YouthBASE staff can meet the needs of each child.

YouthBASE wants to build relationships with children, families, and the community to help make a difference in the lives of children in Greenville. YouthBASE is a United Way Partner Agency.
