The Warehouse Theatre Presents Cry It Out

Cry It Out by Molly Smith Metzler is now showing at The Warehouse Theatre! With familiar Greenville artists filling up the bill, the show is set to entertain through Mother’s Day.

The play centers around the shared connection of two mothers on maternity leave as they explore their first months as mothers. But their intimacy is punctured when a stranger who lives in the mansion up on the cliff appears in the yard, asking if they would include his wife. Reluctantly, the duo attempts to become a trio, but with incredibly mixed and surprising results.

A comedy with dark edges, Cry It Out takes an honest look at the absurdities of being home with a baby, the power of female friendship, the dilemma of going back to work, and the effect class has on parenthood in America.

The show features performances from Miranda Barnett (Clybourne Park, Boeing Boeing), Amanda Sox (The Cake, In The Next Room), Jessica Eckenrod (Warehouse debut), and Jason D. Johnson (Richard III, Metamorphoses).

It will feature designs by Elizabeth Jarrett (Scenic), Kevin Frazier (Lights), Elizabeth Gray (Costumes), Marc Gwinn (Sound), and Cassidy Bowles (Properties).

Directing for the first time at The Warehouse Theatre is Rebekah Suellau who has worked regionally at Alliance Theatre, Aurora Theatre, Georgia Ensemble Theatre, 7Stages, Synchronicity Theatre, and The Weird Sisters Theatre Project.

The play runs April 26 through May 12. Tickets are $35 for general admission and $40 for reserved seating. Tickets can be purchased at www.WarehouseTheatre.com or by calling 864-235-6948.

Blue Star Theatre discounts for veterans and active military apply throughout the run. I Pay What I Can Sunday is April 27 at 3:00 pm with tickets being sold on a first-come, first-serve basis starting at 2:15 pm.
