In Business: Counsel Group Frankfurt

Counsel Group Frankfurt (CGF) recently held an open house to celebrate the company’s move to the CU-ICAR campus in Greenville, SC.

CGF is the U.S.-based center of operations and subsidiary of CGF Counsel Group Frankfurt AG in Germany. CGF provides on-site IT services to all types of business environments with an emphasis on major automotive and other industries.

The well-attended open house took place in the Hospitality Suite one floor above CGF’s new location at One Research Drive, Suite 300. Those attending included CGF clients, vendor partners, industry colleagues, and fellow CU-ICAR neighbors. Guests were treated to a variety of German-inspired appetizers, drinks, and giveaways. Guests also had the opportunity to tour the CU-ICAR Research Lab and watch an Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) Demonstration.

Traveling from Toronto, Canada to attend the event were Michel Hepp, VP of Sales, and Igor Elman, Director of Engineering for Behr Technologies Industries – (BTI). CGF and BTI have partnered together to provide turnkey MIOTY™ IIoT Ecosystem solutions to serve the automotive industry and other work environments.

The ceremony was presided over by Rionne Ridgeway, Engagement Manager of the Greenville Chamber. There to cut the ribbon on behalf of CGF were key members of its US & Germany teams: Dirk Brusch, Managing Director of Operations in Germany and Bernd Heckleman, Managing Director in the U.S.

According to Heckelmann, “Our team is now strategically located in CU-ICAR, the International Center for Automotive Research, to deliver even greater business value to our customers. Our goal is to stay on the forefront of the latest in technology and data management services to provide a cutting-edge level of IT operational support to automotive manufacturing plants.”

CGF has operated its American headquarters in Greenville, SC since 2012 and was located in downtown Greenville’s West End before the move to the CU-ICAR Campus.
