The 40th annual Greenville News Run Downtown 5K Road Race takes place on Saturday morning, January 19. The street and access to the area will be temporarily closed that morning. The Greenville Police Department will be assisting with traffic control for the event.
The route, shown below, starts at Soby’s Restaurant on South Main Street and finishes at The Greenville News building. From 5:00 am to approximately 11:00 am, South Main Street will be closed from Broad Street to Camperdown Way, as well as Broad Street from Main Street to Falls Street.
From 8:45 am to approximately 10:30 am, runners and walkers will progress down South Main Street from Soby’s Restaurant, turn slightly right and continue on Pendleton Street, turn right on North Leach Street, turn right at Perry Avenue, continue on Rhett Street, turn left on River Street (which becomes South Richardson Street), turn right on West North Street, turn right at North Main Street, and finish by turning left onto Broad Street.
Those who live and work on Main Street are requested to park on the side streets this morning as the runners and walkers will come all the way down Main Street from West North Street and intersections along Main Street will be closed.

Due to the road closures above, the Heart of Main and Top of Main trolley routes will delay the start of service to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 19. Additionally, Greenlink will not service the following fixed route bus stops between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 19:
