M. Judson Booksellers Hosts Evening With Laura Esther Wolfson and Elizabeth Kostova

Join M. Judson Booksellers on Wednesday, December 12 at 7:00 pm for an event with authors Laura Esther Wolfson and Elizabeth Kostova.

Wolfson is author of For Single Mothers Working as Train Conductors.  Her literary debut draws on years of immersion in the Russian and French languages; struggles to gain a basic understanding of Judaism, its history, and her place in it; and her search for a form to hold the stories that emerge from what she has lived, observed, overheard, and misremembered.

Wolfson’s writings have appeared in leading literary venues and garnered awards on both sides of the Atlantic; this particular memoir/essay collection won the 2017 Iowa Prize for Literary Nonfiction. She holds an MFA from The New School and lives in New York City.

Elizabeth Kostova will facilitate the conversation. She is the author of three novels:  The Historian, The Swan Thieves, and The Shadow Land.  Her work has been published in forty languages and she reads and lectures internationally.  Kostova is co-founder of the Elizabeth Kostova Foundation, which promotes creative writing and literary translation in Bulgaria.  She lives in Asheville with her family.

You won’t want to miss this event! So come join the community at 7:00 pm on December 12 for this free event.
