PlaceMeant founder Tyler Marrero is a proud Massachusetts native turned Greenville resident via Cornell University and a few early career stops across the country. Upon graduating from Cornell in 2013 with a BS in Industrial and Labor Relations, Tyler joined the HR department at Air Products and Chemicals, a Fortune 300 producer of industrial gases. In 2016, Tyler decided to move back to the Upstate to lead the HR function for Benteler Automotive’s Spartanburg plant, locally a BMW chassis supplier. In May 2018, Tyler moved on from his post with Benteler in order to fulfill a personal dream of starting his own business. Having been responsible for staffing internal organizations the last 5+ years, Tyler hopes to bring high quality service to both clients and candidates, offered through the unique lens of an experienced human resource professional.
