When the Furman football team opened its season at Clemson on Saturday the national media spotlight was on the No. 2 Tigers, who were the highest-ranked opponent in the 113-year history of the Paladin program.
But Furman senior quarterback Harris Roberts, who just happens to be a full-time Clemson student when he’s not playing football for the Paladins, gave Clemson coach Dabo Swinney’s team a run for its money in terms of pre-game publicity. And if you’re wondering how it’s possible for a student at one school to suit up for the opposition on game day, you’re no different than the national sports media.
