Race the Helix on Saturday, March 24th

What started as one family’s desire to raise awareness for genetic disorders has expanded into a statewide event. The awareness race takes place on Saturday, March 24th, at 9:00 am at Lake Conestee Nature Park.

The race will feature a 5k run as well as a 1-mile run/walk. Snacks, water, and coffee will be provided, and performance t-shirts are guaranteed for registrations while supplies last. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Greenwood Genetic Center Foundation. Visit www.ggc.org to register for the race and for additional information.

The event began in 2011 in Greenwood and now extends to Greenville and Charleston. Through their unwavering commitment and the exciting partnership with Front Line Genomics, the GGC Foundation’s community 5K has grown into an international event with treadmill challenges having taken place in Boston, Vancouver and San Francisco!
